*****Update 7:35am Thursday - Well, everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Having issues with a new skin is not 100% compatible with my homepage portal software. Also, I have database errors from an installer script script not updating the database tables accordingly. I'm am trying to troubleshoot it some more before I give up on it. I may just end up (temporarily) using the default skin from the new vBulletin software I installed. And then I could work on it the new skin in a test forum and be able to turn the site back up in the meantime. Either that or just import a full back up from Monday and work on the new stuff in a test forum. I just wanted to let you folks know that murphy's law has struck, but I am working on it. Right now I have to tackle a dB problem before I can turn it back on with or without the skin being debugged. I'll eventually get it figured out. Don't give up on me yet. Have a good day!
****Progress Report 12:30pm Wednesday - I have installed the new updated forum software and homepage portal. The next phase is installing and configuring the new forum skin. I have a lot of graphic files the modify. After that I will install the new garage software and all the updated vB plugins for miscellaneous features and processes. The final step will be to debug the software. I still have a lot of work to do, but I wanted to let you guys know where I was at. Have a good day! Hello all, I am rebuilding USAM from the ground up. I have already begun the process of upgrading the forum software and homepage portal software, as well as completely redesigning the forum skin. *The threads, posts, member info, and post counts will not be affected by the upgrade. The new software will have social networking features, members will be able to create their own picture albums, improved security, bug fixes, and much more. I am also going to be integrating the latest and most advanced vbgarage software that will have a bevy of new features. I have a mountain of work ahead of me, so I can't accurately predict when I'll be ready to turn it back up. I estimate that I'll have it up and running in roughly 24 - 36 hours. Sorry for the incovenience. I think everyone will like all the new changes. I'm hoping the new software and face lift will breathe new life into USAM.
